About Our Church

Our Story

Springhill United Baptist Church traces its heritage to the Baptist witness that has shaped Cumberland County for generations. In communities like Oxford and Springhill, local congregations have long been places where worship and daily life meet. Our church continues that tradition with a steady commitment to biblical teaching, faithful prayer, and practical care for families in every season of life.

As part of the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches, we stand alongside neighboring congregations in mission and fellowship. This affiliation reflects our shared devotion to Scripture and our common desire to proclaim the Gospel in ways that are clear, compassionate, and grounded in community. We value local ministry while remaining connected to a wider fellowship of churches across Atlantic Canada.

Over the years, members of this church have served through Sunday school classes, youth mentoring, music ministry, and community outreach projects. Milestones, celebrations, and difficult moments have all been carried together in prayer. Our church has become a spiritual home where people are encouraged to grow in faith and to serve others with humility.

Today, we continue to build on that legacy by welcoming new families, discipling young people, and creating spaces where every person can encounter hope. Our purpose remains the same: to honor Christ, strengthen one another, and be a steady presence of care in Oxford and the surrounding region.
